About the library

How Atelier makes and checks its French learning pages.

From course material to library pages

Pages are drafted with AI assistance from Atelier’s own French course material. Each record lists its course sources. Where we can match a source to a course module, the published page links to it under “Built from”. These are the learning materials behind the page.

Checks and publication

Automated validators check the content format, required learning activities, source paths and other consistency rules. Rendering checks confirm that the pages can be built. Automated checks can miss language and factual errors.

The library is published in staged waves. The first wave used automated scoring and selection. New waves require recorded human approval before a page can be selected; approval for publication is separate from independent review.

Editor: Chris Lee, Founder and editor, Atelier.

No independent human reviewer is currently named for the library. Publication does not certify independent human review.

Other languages

Many pages are also published in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi. These versions are AI-assisted translations of the English page, checked by automated validators that keep the French examples and the page structure intact. They have not been independently reviewed by a linguist, and a page changed in English stays English until it is translated again. Each translated page links to its English original.

Corrections

We correct pages when errors are reported and confirmed. Published pages use the recorded publication or update date; the date does not certify a review.

A contact email for library corrections has not yet been configured.
