In short
Say what you can see, where it is and what limits the view: Le titre est visible en haut, mais la date est coupée à droite. Masqué describes a covered detail; flou describes a blurred one. An omitted area does not tell you what its unseen text says.

A useful screenshot description separates observation from inference. You can describe the part shown and ask for a clearer or wider view. If the bottom of a message is outside the crop, say that the bottom is missing rather than guessing its wording. The examples refer to original teaching layouts, not private accounts.
Nommer l’image et ses limites
Situer un détail
Décrire ce qui se voit
Demander une autre vue
Masked and cut off explain different limits
Le code est masqué par une bande grise identifies an overlay covering the code area. La date est coupée au bord droit identifies an image boundary cutting through the date. Neither statement gives the missing characters. The visible fragment can help you ask for a specific clarification, but it cannot supply text that the image does not show.
Je vois le début de la date, mais pas l’année. Pourriez-vous la préciser ?
I can see the beginning of the date, but not the year. Could you specify it?
Let the described item choose the ending
Le texte est coupé uses masculine coupé. La date est coupée uses feminine coupée. Lisible and visible keep the same singular spelling for either gender. Un texte flou and une ligne floue show the -e needed by floue when it describes the feminine noun ligne.
Start a help request with the detail that matters: Le numéro est visible, mais la date est coupée. Then ask for the missing information. A precise description saves the other person from having to guess which part of the screenshot is causing difficulty.
