In short
Two articles are not automatically two independent pieces of evidence. Check where each claim comes from. Two sites may repeat the same press release, while two authors may use one shared dataset. Count the underlying observations for the claim you are evaluating.

You find the same claim on two French websites: the new Saturday service has reduced waiting times. The agreement looks reassuring. Before writing deux sources confirment, read their credits and methods. There are two different questions: how many texts have you read, and how many separate observations support this particular claim?

Vrai ou faux ? Decide before you see the verdict.
FauxB reproduces A’s press release. The second publication supplies no separate measurement.
VraiYou can read two documents while still tracing the numerical claim to one underlying set of measurements.
VraiIts comparison adds an analytical angle, but the provenance explicitly identifies the same automatic records.
VraiD describes on-site timing on 8 June. That is a separate collection with a narrower geographical and time scope.
FauxOne stop over three hours cannot automatically establish the network-wide mean for two different Saturdays.
FauxA newer publication date can belong to a repost. The supplied credit says the original release was reproduced.
Independence depends on the question. C can be useful when comparing interpretations: its author may draw a different conclusion from the same records. It does not create a second batch of waiting-time measurements. D supplies separate observations, but those observations concern another Saturday and only one stop. Separate collection and comparable scope are both relevant; neither replaces the other.

Two publications reproduce the same press release, while a third analyses the same records from another angle.
The collective provides separate observations, limited to the Hospital stop on the morning of 8 June.
They identify a chain of transmission. A missing credit leaves the provenance unresolved; it does not prove copying or independence. When the supplied text gives no method, write la méthode de collecte n’est pas précisée rather than filling the gap with an assumption.
The dossier gives a twelve-minute average for two Saturdays, but no waiting-time baseline before the new service. Those figures alone do not establish the reduction claimed in the opening scenario. Independence and support for a change over time are separate checks.
