In short

A climate plan may put a target, a modelled scenario and an annual observation on one page. They refer to different kinds of statement. The twenty-four expressions in this deck let you name each one and preserve its conditions in a short commentary.

Combine one target with one observation
Le plan vise une baisse de 20 % par rapport à 2020. À périmètre identique, la baisse observée par rapport à cette même année atteint 8 % ; l’objectif n’est donc pas encore atteint.
The plan aims for a 20% reduction compared with 2020. For the same scope, the observed reduction compared with that same year reaches 8%, so the target has not yet been achieved.
The target and the observation use the same baseline in that example. If they use different years, harmonise the comparison before judging attainment. Un rythme de baisse concerns how fast a quantity is falling; un écart à l’objectif concerns how far the result remains from the required level. A faster rate can coexist with a large remaining gap.
Selon les estimations identifies an estimated figure. Données consolidées identifies a more settled dataset, but it does not automatically prove a cause. When a report changes the deadline, keep the original and revised dates visible instead of presenting the revised timetable as the initial commitment.
