French group chat: ask people to stop sharing an old meeting link

Replace an outdated French meeting link in a group chat. Identify the old session, give the correct new date and ask people to share only the replacement.

Identify the old link and the meeting it belonged to, then give the replacement with its own date: L02 correspond à la séance du 2 décembre. Pour le 9 décembre à 18 h 30, utilisez L09. Add Merci de partager uniquement le nouveau lien so the next action is clear.

It is 8 December in this practice conversation. Someone has reposted a link for a session that took place on 2 December. The next meeting is on 9 December at 18 h 30. L02 and L09 are practice link labels, not web addresses. Follow the labelled dates when selecting a reply.

Keep the date beside the link label

Ancien and nouveau make a contrast, but the dated session makes the contrast practical. A message saying seulement le nouveau lien may be unclear to someone who joins the conversation late. L09 pour le 9 décembre à 18 h 30 supplies the item and the event it belongs to.

Voici L09, le lien pour la séance du 9 décembre à dix-huit heures trente.

Here is L09, the link for the 9 December session at half past six.

Ask for the specific correction

Merci de partager uniquement… gives the group a clear next action. It avoids blaming the person who reposted L02. The message does not claim that the old link is technically broken; it states the narrower fact that it corresponds to the previous session.

For your own update, include the replacement, the date and the time in one place. If you know only that a link is old, ask the organiser for the current one before circulating a guessed replacement.
