In short
Days (lundi, mardi, mercredi) and months (janvier, mars, juin) take no capital letter in French. Seasons are le printemps, l'été, l'automne, l'hiver. Watch near-twins: mars (March) vs mardi (Tuesday), annuel (yearly) vs un annuaire (a directory).

La semaine is a week. The others are seasons (with hiver).
Toujours means always. Yesterday, today and tomorrow are specific days.
Le mois is a month. The others are moments of the day.
Une horloge is a clock; the others are units of time.
Le week-end comes every week. Noël, Pâques, la Toussaint are holidays.
Un annuaire is a (phone) directory. Daily, weekly, monthly are frequencies; yearly is annuel.
How are French time and calendar words used?
Dates in French put the day first: le lundi 3 mars. Use le + day for habits: le lundi, je vais à la piscine (on Mondays). Only the first of the month is an ordinal: le 1er mai, but le 2 mai.
Time prepositions differ too: en for months and most seasons (en mars, en été, en automne, en hiver) but au printemps. Years take en: en 2026. For a day, no preposition at all: je pars lundi (this coming Monday).
