Reconstruct a French climate plan’s original deadline, revised deadline and achieved result from dated excerpts. Practise a summary that preserves delay.

In short

Keep three facts separate: the original commitment, its revised deadline and the observed result. Reaching the target by a revised deadline does not make the original deadline disappear. State the dates explicitly.

A public-building plan aims to lower energy use. Its target level stays the same, but work is delayed. The dated excerpts below let you reconstruct what was promised, what changed and when the result was measured. Use the ordering mode to practise the sequence.

Judge each commitment against its own date

The original target was at most 80 units by December 2027. The reading of 88 means that commitment was not met at the original deadline. The committee’s September decision sets a revised date; the reading of 79 in December 2028 meets the unchanged level by that revised date. Both judgements can appear in one accurate summary.

Avoid l’objectif a toujours été prévu pour 2028: it erases the first commitment. L’échéance a été reportée records a change. Also keep prévu, annoncé and mesuré distinct. A planned completion date is an intention; a reading records the outcome supplied by the dossier. The timeline does not establish why energy use fell beyond the stated work delay context.
