In short
Je conseille recommends; vivement strengthens it; incontournable can call something a must-see in context. À voir is a direct recommendation, but its force depends on the sentence and audience. Compare complete claims rather than treating the isolated phrases as a universal taste score.

The ladder orders how strongly these particular sentences recommend a work within their stated limits. They do not all address the same reader: one names slow-story lovers, another genre enthusiasts. A strong recommendation for one audience may be unhelpful for another.
Must-see claim within a defined selection
- Pour les passionnés de ce genre, c’est un incontournable de cette sélection. For enthusiasts of this genre, it is a must-see in this selection. The strongest claim is limited to genre enthusiasts and this selection, not all works or all tastes.
- Je vous le recommande vivement pour son interprétation.I strongly recommend it for its performance.Vivement explicitly intensifies the recommendation and gives a reason.
- C’est vraiment à voir si vous cherchez une mise en scène inventive. It is really worth seeing if you want inventive staging.Vraiment adds emphasis to a direct recommendation tied to a specific criterion.
- Je le conseille à ceux qui apprécient les dialogues.I recommend it to those who appreciate dialogue. The speaker explicitly recommends it to a defined audience.
- Cela peut vous intéresser si vous aimez les récits lents. This may interest you if you like slow narratives. The recommendation is tentative and limited to a stated preference.
Tentative interest for a preference
The audience can matter more than the adjective
An “incontournable pour les passionnés” does not claim that someone who dislikes the genre will enjoy it. De cette sélection also narrows the comparison. Retain both in a summary instead of replacing the sentence with “everyone must see it”.
Give the feature behind the recommendation
Pour son interprétation identifies the performance as the reason. Si vous cherchez une mise en scène inventive ties the advice to a preference. A sentence such as À voir ! can be enthusiastic but vague; it becomes more useful when the reader knows what you found interesting.
When recommending to a friend, begin with their preference. Then describe one matching feature and one possible reservation. That gives them grounds to choose rather than asking them to share your enthusiasm without context.
