A2 French story: the missing attachment arrives in a second email

Read an A2 French story where a form and certificate arrive in separate emails. Track the filenames, the shared reference and the final completeness message.

In short

The first email contains the signed form; the second supplies the missing activity certificate. Both use reference D-42, so the service can connect them. The final reply confirms a complete set of documents for that stage, without yet announcing the workshop enrolment result.

Follow the two filenames as well as the message order. Aïcha sends the missing file after the service identifies it. The story then distinguishes receiving the requested documents from deciding the outcome of the application.

A2 · Two emails, one dossier

Read it in English

On Monday morning, Aïcha prepares her application for a neighbourhood workshop. The service requests two files: the signed form and an activity certificate. Aïcha writes an email with reference D-42 in the subject. She attaches the form, then clicks send. The certificate remains in another folder on her computer.

At ten, the service replies: “We have received formulaire-signe.pdf. The file attestation-activite.pdf is missing. Please send us this second file.” Aïcha reads the message and looks at the attachments in her first email. There is only one. She understands her omission.

She finds the certificate and writes a new message with the same D-42 reference. This time, she attaches attestation-activite.pdf. In the text, she specifies that the form is already in her first email.

A little later, an officer opens both messages. He connects the two files to the same application using the reference. He checks the documents and sends a confirmation: “We now have the two requested items. Your file is complete for this stage.”

Aïcha keeps both sent emails and the service’s reply in an email folder. She knows the documents have been received. The confirmation does not yet give the result of her workshop enrolment.

Question 1No account needed
Which file does the service first report receiving?

Choose one answer.

Answer and explanation

formulaire-signe.pdf. The first reply names formulaire-signe.pdf as received.

Question 2No account needed
What does Aïcha send in her second email?

Choose one answer.

Answer and explanation

The missing activity certificate. The second message contains attestation-activite.pdf.

Question 3No account needed
What does the final reply confirm?

Choose one answer.

Answer and explanation

That both requested documents are present for this stage. The reply states completeness for this stage and gives no enrolment decision.

One code connects the messages

The repeated D-42 links the second attachment to the original application. The filenames identify the documents themselves. Those two tools do different jobs: the reference groups the correspondence, while the attachment names show which requested piece each file is.

Complet pour cette étape limits the confirmation to the document check. The final paragraph explicitly leaves the enrolment result open. A precise reading keeps that boundary rather than turning document receipt into an acceptance decision.
