In short
Ask Pourriez-vous préciser ce que vous entendez par… ?, then offer a possible interpretation: Souhaitez-vous un exemple où j’ai proposé une solution ? Confirm the focus before answering. This helps you give relevant evidence rather than respond fluently to a different question.

A recruiter asks about taking initiative. The applicant is unsure whether the question concerns working without instructions or suggesting an improvement. The dialogue shows a brief clarification that leads directly to a concrete answer.

Repeat the intended question in your own words
Vous souhaitez donc… checks the interpretation after the recruiter explains initiative. It is a confirmation question, not a request for the recruiter to supply your answer. Once the focus is clear, the applicant moves to a situation, problem, proposal and observed result.
Keep your contribution accurate
The applicant prepared a model, while the manager and team adapted it. That division is useful evidence of initiative and collaboration. Claiming sole implementation would change the story. The result is also limited to what the applicant observed during the final two weeks without supplying a numerical improvement.
If the unclear part is the time frame, task or scale of an example, ask about that part directly. One precise clarification can be shorter than a long answer that misses the question. Then give the relevant evidence and let the recruiter request more detail.
