In short
A useful vocabulary example shows one meaning and the words that go with it. For a noun, keep its article: la gare. For a verb, show its construction: Je viens de la gare. For an adjective, make agreement visible: La chambre est lumineuse.

| Start with | Add the useful detail | Model |
|---|---|---|
| venir | the place you come from | Je viens de la gare. |
| apporter | the thing and the destination | J’apporte mon carnet au cours. |
| écouter | a direct object | Elle écoute la radio. |
| lumineux | a feminine noun to show agreement | La cuisine est lumineuse. |
The sentence Elle écoute la radio shows that écouter takes its object directly. English uses “listen to”, but French has no à here. Nous venons du marché shows another useful detail: de + le becomes du. These small words are part of the model you can reuse.
