Count people and garments separately

Une personne limits the number of people inside one room. Trois vêtements limits the items being tried on. A customer with two garments is below the maximum. A customer with four garments would exceed it in this notice. Neither number tells you the garment’s clothing size.

Libre and occupée describe current availability

La cabine deux est libre identifies the room available now. Occupée describes the other room. Cabine is feminine, which explains the feminine e in occupée. A numbered room label is separate from a size label such as M or L; cabine 2 does not mean a garment size.

Je peux utiliser la cabine deux ?

May I use fitting room two?

The hanger and the unchosen garment have separate destinations

Les cintres go back to l’accueil. Les vêtements non choisis go into the marked bin here. The notice does not direct you to leave every item inside the fitting room. Read the object after each instruction verb before deciding where it belongs.
