In the word hunt, tap the loaded word or expression. Each replacement removes or softens the selected judgement only; some questions contain more than one assumption. Use the full reformulations afterwards to request the facts instead of treating a local repair as a complete neutral interview.
Tap the word that's wrong in each sentence.
Why did you hide this result?
Caché presupposes intentional concealment. Conservé removes that accusation but still assumes the result was retained; the complete rewrite below first asks whether anything was published.
When did you stop manipulating the figures?
Manipuler frames wrongdoing, and cessé presupposes it happened. Use the full neutral rewrite below rather than treating a single substitution as enough.
Why are you still refusing to answer?
Encore presents the refusal as continuing or recurring; refusez attributes a refusal. The neutral rewrite asks whether the person can answer now.
How do you justify this failure?
Échec evaluates the outcome before the question establishes its criterion.
Why do you maintain this false explanation?
Fausse asserts the explanation is false. Ask what evidence supports it instead.
Who helped you conceal the report?
Dissimuler assumes concealment and aidé assumes assistance. The complete neutral reformulation removes both premises.
Remove the whole assumption
| Original focus | Complete neutral request |
|---|---|
Neutrality does not prevent a demanding follow-up. Once documents establish a discrepancy, name it precisely: Le tableau publié donne vingt cas, le fichier source en donne trente. Comment expliquez-vous cet écart ? That question anchors the challenge in supplied evidence instead of embedding an unproved accusation.
