In short

Use a subject, its matching reflexive pronoun and a conjugated verb: je me lève, nous nous levons. The pronouns are me, te, se, nous, vous, se. With se lever, keep the grave accent in lève, lèves and lèvent, but use levons and levez.

Objects in a morning routine

Je me lave les mains. Elle se brosse les dents.

I wash my hands. She brushes her teeth.

The reflexive pronoun identifies whose body part it is. French uses les mains and les dents here.

Je ne me lève pas tôt.I do not get up early.

Focus: the negative around pronoun + verb

Elle ne s’habille pas ici.
She does not get dressed here.

Je veux me reposer.I want to rest.

Focus: the pronoun immediately before its infinitive

Nous allons nous coucher.
We are going to bed.

How do you conjugate reflexive verbs in the present?

Write the reflexive pronoun and verb together in each gap. Round one asks for the present of se lever. Round two mixes routine actions, elision and an infinitive. Accents count: lève and lèves keep è. In the last row, the cue specifies an infinitive after veux.
