You suggested moving a launch to Thursday. A colleague now tells the team that Thursday is confirmed. Your correction needs three pieces: the proposal’s current status, the person who can approve it and the safe next action. A short correction early in the thread prevents the mistaken status from spreading into emails, schedules and customer promises.
- Parfait, jeudi est donc confirmé. Je préviens le client ?Great, so Thursday is confirmed. Shall I tell the client?
You proposed Thursday, but Claire alone approves the calendar.

Correct the status before explaining the history
Petite précision introduces a small but consequential repair. Follow it immediately with the corrected information. Avoid a long account of who misunderstood whom: colleagues need to know whether they should act. À ce stade can locate the status in time: À ce stade, nous avons deux options à soumettre à Claire. That leaves room for a later decision without making the proposal sound withdrawn.

At this stage, postponement remains an option to consider. The current date remains in force.
Name an action as well as a limit
A useful interim instruction uses a concrete verb and object: préparer le comparatif, vérifier les disponibilités or rassembler les coûts. Match the instruction to your actual authority in the situation. In this thread, the coordinator can organise preparation but cannot approve a new date. En attendant connects the pending decision to the work that can proceed; après validation marks the condition for the later announcement.

Close the loop when the decision arrives. Give the approved date, any conditions and the person who will send the message. Until then, repeating a proposal more confidently does not turn it into approval. Keep the language aligned with the actual status of the work.
