In short
Bien reçu acknowledges receipt; it does not by itself approve a request. Je suis d’accord expresses agreement, while Je valide can state approval when the sender has authority over that decision. Read the whole message and identify who is allowed to authorise the action.
Yellow the idea to rememberBlue French to learn

You have asked to move a delivery date. A colleague replies Bien reçu, merci. That tells you the request has reached them. It leaves the decision open. To understand whether you can announce the new date, look for explicit permission, any conditions and the role of the person replying. A warm tone and a quick response do not supply the missing authorisation.
Three replies to the same request
Yanis confirms that the request arrived and says what he will do next: forward it. Mehdi supports the proposal within his technical remit. His second sentence explicitly reserves the timetable decision for Claire. Claire finally gives both approval and permission to contact the client. The phrase sur le plan technique limits Mehdi’s agreement to one aspect of the proposal.
Vrai ou faux ? Decide before you see the verdict.
Yanis’s bien reçu means Salomé can announce the new date.
FauxYanis acknowledges receipt and forwards the request. His role is administrative, and he gives no permission to confirm the date.
Mehdi supports the proposal’s technical feasibility.
VraiHe says sur le plan technique, which identifies the scope of his agreement.
Mehdi’s agreement settles the calendar change.
FauxHe explicitly says Claire still has to approve the new timetable. Technical agreement leaves that step pending.
Claire’s final reply permits Salomé to contact the client with the date.
VraiClaire has the relevant authority and explicitly says vous pouvez confirmer cette date au client.
Any employee writing je valide can authorise any company decision.
FauxThe words express validation, but the sender’s authority and the scope of the decision still determine what they can approve.
A reply can acknowledge receipt and refuse the request in the same message.
VraiBien reçu. Nous ne pouvons toutefois pas accepter ce report acknowledges the request before refusing it.
Ask for the missing decision
Merci pour votre retour. Puis-je confirmer le 18 juin au client, ou la validation reste-t-elle en attente ?
Thank you for your reply. May I confirm 18 June with the client, or is approval still pending?
This question asks for an actionable status rather than challenging the sender’s politeness. If the answer is conditional, preserve the condition: Accord sous réserve de confirmation du budget leaves a budget step unresolved. Identify the person who can confirm that step and the message you should wait for. Acknowledgement, support and approval may arrive from different people at different times.
Bien reçu. Je reviens vers vous après validation par Claire.
Received, thank you. I will get back to you after Claire’s approval.
