French C1 revision: connector error or argument gap?

Distinguish a wrong French connector from a missing argumentative step and a merely repeated transition. Choose the smallest meaningful repair.

In short

First state the relationship between the propositions. A wrong connector misnames a relationship; an argument gap lacks a reason needed for the conclusion; repetition can name a valid relationship more often than necessary. Replacing every donc with a synonym cannot supply a missing premise.

Sometimes several problems coexist. An unsupported universal conclusion remains unsupported after you remove a repeated connector. Conversely, replacing an inaccurate consequence marker with pourtant can resolve a relation that the surrounding text already explains. Work from meaning towards wording.

Can a synonym for donc prove that a new rule is fair?

Choose one answer.

Answer and explanation

No. A fairness conclusion needs an appropriate criterion and evidence.

What should you identify before choosing a connector?

Choose one answer.
