Write a short French enquiry about a drawing course. Ask when it starts and what to bring, with a model email, question patterns and materials picture cards.

Vous souhaitez suivre le cours de dessin du samedi. Vous débutez. Écrivez à l’organisateur : présentez-vous, dites quel cours vous intéresse, demandez l’heure de début et si vous devez apporter du matériel. Remerciez votre destinataire.

Je m’appelle Lina Moreau et je voudrais des informations sur votre cours de dessin du samedi. Je suis débutante et j’aimerais apprendre à dessiner. J’ai déjà un carnet et quelques crayons, mais je ne sais pas si cela suffit pour les exercices proposés. À quelle heure commence le cours ? Est-ce que je dois apporter mon matériel ou est-ce qu’il est fourni sur place ?

The model gives the organiser enough context to answer two questions. Je suis débutante is Lina’s form; a man would write je suis débutant. Le matériel is singular in French even when English uses “materials”. Keep il in est-ce qu’il est fourni ? to match it.

    Que becomes qu’ before the vowel in il.

  • Pourriez-vous me précisez l’adresse ?Pourriez-vous me préciser l’adresse ?

    After pourriez, the next verb stays in the infinitive: préciser.
