Quiz

C1 French reading quiz: who gets to book the cultural venue?

Eight questions on a French booking debate: newcomer priority, rehearsal planning, eligibility and the difference between feasibility and adoption.

In short

A asks for an initial chance to apply, B asks for advance notice and C asks for clear rules. Read the three positions, then answer eight questions on who qualifies, what is possible and what still needs deciding.

Read the three contributions

Regular users already know the calendar and book as soon as it opens. We want an initial period reserved for projects that have never used the room. That would not guarantee everyone a place, but would give newcomers a real opportunity to submit their request.

Welcoming new projects seems necessary to us. However, our programme is prepared far in advance. If initial access is closed to us, the stages must at least be announced early enough for us to organise rehearsals. We are not asking for permanent priority.

A staged calendar is technically possible. It would be necessary to specify who qualifies for the initial period and how remaining requests are handled. No new procedure has yet been adopted; the team must be able to explain rules without changing them from one request to the next.
