DELF A1 speaking: describe a visit plan and something you’d like to do

Talk about a two-day visit to Lyon, your train journey and a museum wish. Complete Nora’s account, then practise three short follow-up answers.

In short

Say the plan with je vais + infinitive: Je vais prendre le train. Add a wish with je voudrais + infinitive: Je voudrais visiter un musée. Here, Nora has planned the family visit and is still choosing a museum.

    Deux jours.

    Two days.

  3. Partner

    Are you going by car?

Complete the account with the words in the hints. Keep the infinitives after vais and voudrais. Once you have checked the gaps, read the whole account aloud as Nora; let the final sentence sound like a choice still to make.

Mon voyage à Lyon

Le mois prochain, je (aller — je) passer deux jours à Lyon. Je vais rendre visite (to) ma cousine. Pour y aller, je vais (take) le train.

Je (would like to) aussi visiter un musée avec elle, mais je n’ai pas (yet) choisi lequel. Je vais rester (for: duration) deux jours.

Read it in English

Next month, I am going to spend two days in Lyon. I am going to visit my cousin. To get there, I am going to take the train.

I would also like to visit a museum with her, but I have not chosen which one yet. I am going to stay for two days.

For a second round, change the destination to Nantes and the stay to three days. Keep the same cousin, transport and museum wish. Your partner asks the three questions in a new order. Answer each one with just the detail it asks for.
