DELF A1 writing practice: send your new contact details

Write a short French message to friends announcing your new address and phone number from a given date. Model answer, steps and a checklist, DELF A1 style.

In short

Announce the change, give the date it starts (à partir du 1er mars), write the new address in French order (number, street, postcode, town) and the phone number in pairs. End with an invitation or a friendly line.

The street number comes first, before rue, avenue, boulevard or place. The five-digit postcode (le code postal) goes before the town, on the same line. In speech, 12, rue des Tanneurs is douze, rue des Tanneurs.
