In short
A repair can make the claim more defensible by changing its scope explicitly. Nora replaces “all access problems” with one cost obstacle, then replaces an observed-result claim with an expected effect. She resumes with a measurement proposal rather than merely repeating a disclaimer.

Practise Nora’s part to rehearse the self-corrections; your partner plays Paul. Use this as a written rehearsal in pairs. The first speaker is allowed to revise a word; the second checks whether the revision answers the actual objection. It is a practice script, not an audio fluency test. A useful spoken pause can give the correction space: “Plus exactement…” followed by the narrower proposition.

This arrangement solves every access problem.

Tous ?
English
Every one? Even for people who cannot travel?
- Nora
Let me clarify: it reduces cost for people attending in person.

- Paul
English
So you withdraw “every problem”?
- Nora
Oui.
Yes. More exactly, I defend a gain on one specific obstacle.

Il reste alors la question du transport.
English
The transport question remains, then.
- Nora
It remains unresolved; my proposal does not claim to settle it.

English
In that case why speak of improved access?
- Nora
Because lower cost can help some users.

Certains, pas nécessairement tous.
English
Some, not necessarily everyone.
- Nora
That is exactly the scope I retain.

Disposez-vous déjà d’un résultat mesuré ?
English
Do you already have a measured result?
- Nora
Not yet. I should say: an expected effect to evaluate.
English
Not yet. I should say: an expected effect to evaluate.
- Paul
Voilà une seconde correction importante.
English
That is a second important correction.
- Nora
Yes: I now distinguish the goal from the observed result.
English

- Paul
Quel indicateur permettra de les comparer ?
English
Which indicator will compare them?
- Nora
Attendance by relevant groups, with a survey of other obstacles.
English

- Paul
English
We can therefore debate that precise protocol.
A self-correction is substantive only when the revised wording changes what you commit to. “Je précise” followed by the same universal claim would not answer Paul. Here the repair keeps a real remaining disagreement: whether the lower price helps the stated groups and how that should be measured. Accuracy gives the next question a clearer target.
