French recycling vocabulary: objects, bins and notice words

Learn French recycling words with picture cards, then read a collection notice. Practise emballage, bac, trier, déposer, uniquement and sauf.

In short

A recycling notice names the object, the action and the place: déposez les bouteilles dans le conteneur. Learn trier as sort and recycler as recycle. Read uniquement (only), sauf (except) and ne… pas before choosing where an item goes.

In this notice, derrière la salle gives the location. Uniquement limits the paper bin to the items listed. Sauf la vaisselle excludes crockery from the glass collection. The bag instruction tells you where bags must not be left. Bin colours and accepted items come from the notice at your collection point.
