Start from nous rions, remove -ons, and you have ri-. Add the imparfait endings -ions and -iez: ri-ions, ri-iez. The two is are doing different jobs. The same spellings appear in the subjunctive, but the sentence tells you the mood.

What are you laughing at?
Use rire de for what causes the laughter: rire d’une histoire, rire de ses erreurs. With a person, rire de quelqu’un can mean laughing at them or mocking them; rire avec quelqu’un means sharing the laughter. The future stem is rir-, giving nous rirons; add -ions for the conditional nous ririons.
Nous avons ri ensemble pendant la pause.
We laughed together during the break.
Rire uses avoir. The participle stays ri here: laughing has no direct object to agree with.

- Avant, nous rions souvent.Avant, nous riions souvent.
The cue avant describes a past habit here: use the imparfait, with two is.
- Je suis contente que vous riez de nouveau.Je suis contente que vous riiez de nouveau.
After this expression of emotion, use the subjunctive riiez.
- Nous avons rit.Nous avons ri.
