Why does apprendre have one n or two?
The present has apprend- in the singular, appren- with nous and vous, and apprenn- with ils/elles. Start the imperfect from nous apprenons: j’apprenais, nous apprenions. The subjunctive keeps the same split: que j’apprenne but que nous apprenions. For the future and conditional, return to apprendr-: j’apprendrai, j’apprendrais. The present and past are the A2 starting point; the subjunctive table also prepares you for Atelier’s B1 lessons.
