French body parts: 24 flashcards with avoir mal à examples

Learn 24 French body parts with articles and example sentences, then practise au, à la, à l’ and aux to explain where it hurts.

For a simple description of pain, use the definite article: J’ai mal au dos. To describe a body part, you can use a possessive: Mon poignet est gonflé (my wrist is swollen). The sentence pattern changes, so the article changes too.
