Verb drill

French near past and next step drill: viens de or vais?

Rewrite task-status cues with venir de for the action just completed and aller for the next planned action. Keep the person, infinitives and event order.

In short

Use venir de + infinitive for what has just happened and aller + infinitive for the next planned action: Je viens de terminer. Je vais partir. Keep the completed task first and the next step second.

In the first section, complete only the missing verb group. In the second, write both sentences in full, with venir de first and aller second.
