Read it in English

This evening, we’re preparing dinner on the terrace. It’s still daylight. The sun shines above the garden. In the kitchen, a lamp lights up the worktop. I cut the bread and look for a tray.

When night falls, we take the plates outside. Little lights shine among the apple tree’s branches. Two lanterns light up the entrance to the house. My sister arrives with dessert.

I pick up a torch. I light up the path to help her reach the terrace. She puts a cake on the table. Beside the dish, a metal spoon gleams in the light.

My brother and I light up the table with two candles. Our parents set out the chairs and ask us: “Are you lighting up the steps too?” My brother goes to get another lantern. Everyone can finally sit down.
