In short
Ci-joint and ci-inclus agree when they describe a noun: les notes ci-jointes. They stay invariable in opening formulas and before a bare noun; inside a sentence, before a noun with a determiner, both the agreeing and invariable forms are accepted.

| Structure | Example | Agreement |
|---|---|---|
| Opening formula | Ci-joint les notes demandées. | Invariable |
| Before a bare noun | Vous trouverez ci-inclus copie du rapport. | Invariable |
| Adjective after a noun | Les attestations ci-jointes sont signées. | Feminine plural |
| Inside a sentence, before a noun with a determiner | Je vous transmets ci-joint les annexes. / Je vous transmets ci-jointes les annexes. | Both accepted |
