In short
Une habitude is a habit or something you regularly do. Une routine is a familiar pattern or sequence, such as getting ready each morning. Use d’habitude for “usually” and avoir l’habitude de for “be used to doing”. Both nouns are feminine.

What is the difference between habitude and routine?
J’ai l’habitude de préparer mes vêtements le soir.
I usually lay out my clothes in the evening.
Ma routine du matin est simple : je me douche, je m’habille et je prends mon petit-déjeuner.
My morning routine is simple: I shower, get dressed and have breakfast.
The first sentence picks out a regular action. The second organises several actions. Routine can sound neutral, as here, or suggest monotony: J’en ai assez de la routine means “I’ve had enough of the routine”. The rest of the sentence gives it that tone.

Her morning routine includes a shower, breakfast and a few minutes of reading. She has a coffee, as usual. Then she puts on her coat and leaves for work.
Today she isn’t working. She decides to break out of the routine and have breakfast out with a friend.
