Clara and I are waiting for my brother at the station. In the distance, I catch sight of a figure between two travellers. I see the figure for a moment, then lose sight of it. Clara notices a change on the board: the train is arriving on track 6.
We realise our mistake: we’re on the wrong platform. We change platforms. Finally, we catch sight of my brother at the end of the platform. He gets off the train.
He approaches with a suitcase. ‘Have you noticed my new coat?’ he asks me. Clara points out to him that his scarf is the same colour.
I hand him his return ticket. He notices that the date is wrong. At that moment, I realise that I’ve picked up Clara’s ticket.
