Say Je ne sais pas for information you do not know, environ for an approximation and Je vais vérifier for something you will check. If you have not taken your temperature, say Je n’ai pas pris ma température.

You remember roughly when it started

DoctorC’était avant ou après votre voyage ?Was it before or after your trip?

Depuis deux jours describes something still going on: J’ai mal à la gorge depuis deux jours. Il y a deux jours dates an event: Cela a commencé il y a deux jours. Add environ when the interval is approximate.
