French grant-call reading quiz: eligibility, selection and conditions

Read a French call for community-project grants and answer twelve questions separating eligibility, selection criteria and award conditions.

In short

A grant call answers three different questions: who may apply, how eligible projects are ranked and what award recipients must do afterwards. Meeting the entry requirements gives access to assessment; it does not guarantee funding.

1. Eligible applicants are associations registered for at least one year at submission, with an establishment in the department. Individuals, commercial companies and local authorities are excluded. Each association may submit one project: a collective activity open to residents, starting between 1 February and 30 April 2027. A complete application must arrive through the platform before 6 pm on 15 November 2026. Incomplete applications are inadmissible, with no later opportunity to complete them.

2. After checking admissibility, a committee ranks projects for usefulness to residents (40 points), feasibility and budget coherence (40), and volunteer participation (20). A local partnership is an advantage, not a requirement. The committee may fund fewer projects if proposals do not sufficiently satisfy its criteria.

3. Support covers at most 60% of eligible expenditure, capped at €10,000 per project. Other resources must cover the balance. The decision is notified on 10 December. Payment follows signature of an agreement setting out mutual commitments. Recipients must carry out the approved project and submit an activity report and financial statement within two months of its end. Major changes need prior written agreement. Spending outside the agreed conditions may have to be repaid.
