In short
The French word for leather is le cuir. For cutting, recognise le couteau demi-lune, le cutter and l’emporte-pièce; for hand stitching, look for l’alêne, la griffe à frapper, l’aiguille de sellier and le fil poissé. The twelve items below take you from a marked line to a finished belt.
