Name twelve stage-lighting fixtures and accessories in French, recognise their shapes, and match a technician’s equipment requests to picture cards.

In short

A stage light is un projecteur. Learn the more specific names—une découpe, un projecteur Fresnel, une lyre—alongside the accessories a technician might request: un porte-filtre, une gélatine or un câble DMX.

Five lighting fixtures

Recognise the object before you fetch it

A découpe has a long body and shapes a precise beam. A lyre has a moving head between two arms. The word lyre can also name the simple mounting yoke of a fixed spotlight; une lyre motorisée makes the moving fixture explicit.
