The verbs can overlap: partager un gâteau en six parts and diviser un gâteau en six parts both work. Six tells you the number of pieces. Six parts égales adds equal size. Répartir les parts entre les invités tells you who receives them.
What is the difference between partager, diviser and répartir?
Use the infinitive shown in each gap. The surrounding verb already gives you allons or peut. Keep the accent in répartir.
Read it in English
On Saturday, we are going to share a meal with our neighbours. There will be six of us at the table. Before cooking, we are going to allocate the tasks among the three families: Salma prepares the vegetables, Jules brings the bread and I make the cake.
For dessert, we can divide the cake into six equal pieces. Everyone will get one piece. To calculate the amount each family pays, we are going to divide the total of thirty euros by three.
After lunch, I am going to share a photo of the meal with my friends.
