Verb drill

B2 French reading drill: what does a club survey actually show?

Read a French club questionnaire report and complete an accurate summary. Keep 30 respondents, 80 members and the two separate questions distinct.

In short

Eighteen out of thirty respondents want an evening meeting. The club has eighty members, and the report leaves two things open: what the fifty non-respondents prefer, and how many evening supporters are also free on Thursday.

The journal-reading club has eighty members. Thirty replied to the team’s questionnaire. Among those thirty respondents, eighteen want an evening meeting and twelve say they are available on Thursdays. The questions were separate; one person could answer yes to both.

These replies give an initial indication of expressed wishes. The preferences of the fifty members who did not reply remain unknown. The report also does not say how many evening supporters are free on Thursdays. The team therefore proposes asking about availability for a specific slot before choosing it.
