Verb drill

Follow French instructions: what do you do first?

Practise French instructions with d’abord, puis, avant de and si. Sort the actions, keep conditions attached and check the order in a short drill.

In short

Keep each action with its object, then put the actions in time order. Avant de fermer means something happens before closing; si introduces a step that applies when its condition is met. A short read-back checks both: D’abord, je signe, puis je vous donne le formulaire ?
