Your delivery message says a parcel is with your neighbour. First arrange a time to collect it; then practise the short exchange at the door. You use vous throughout. Hide your lines and use the English cues to carry the conversation from the name check to the thank-you.

Your lines are hidden in practice mode. Say them aloud, then reveal to compare.

At the neighbour’s door

How do you collect a parcel from a neighbour in French?

Un changement d’horaire
  1. Lina

Je suis désolée, je vais avoir du retard. Est-ce que je peux passer demain vers dix-huit heures ?

I’m sorry, I’m going to be late. Can I come tomorrow around six?

  2. Neighbour

Demain, je serai chez moi à partir de dix-neuf heures.

Tomorrow, I’ll be home from seven onwards.

  3. Lina

Alors, dix-neuf heures quinze, ça vous va ?

In that case, does quarter past seven suit you?

  4. Neighbour

    Oui, à demain.

    Yes, see you tomorrow.

Entre dix-huit et dix-neuf heures gives a window with a start and an end. À partir de dix-neuf heures gives the start of availability. Vers makes a proposed time approximate. The neighbour’s new reply lets Lina choose a time that fits the changed arrangement.
